Weekend Workout: Dirty Dozen 3 - Bad ‘Ass’ Bootcamp.

fitvillains:

Who’s ready to get down & DIRTY?

Dirty Dozen 3 is designed to keep your heart pumping while targeting your entire body. It’s intense: PUSH yourself to do as many rounds as you can.

It’s also a bad ASS challenge: this workout is heavy on the booty! Make sure to stretch well afterwards & take breaks when you need to!

You do NOT need weights for any of these exercises. Intermediate & Advanced exercisers may want to add 5-20lb dumbbells to make the moves more challenging. Start low in your first round, then add more weight if desired. Read notes for how to suit the exercises to your level.

Time: 30 Minutes

Warm Up: Run in place, squat, jumping jacks, dance -  ANYTHING. Move for 5 minutes before you start. Cool down with a march in place before stretching.

You’ll need: A mat, a timer, dumbbells, a chair/bench, a towel and a KILLER attitude!

Goal: Complete as many rounds of these exercises as possible in 30 minutes.

12 exercises, 12 reps each. No breaks scheduled in between, but take them if you need it. *The shorter your breaks, the better your time.

This whole routine scares the sh*t out of me. But I will do it this week. Aiming for the intermediate. No pain, no gain! Brrr… ;-)

1000 Lunges Challenge: just finished it!

Even the bad day may have good things. Luckily, cos I was about to go to bed and hide under my sheets for days!

The good news:I JUST FINISHED MY 1000 LUNGES CHALLENGE WITH A TOTAL OF 1110 LUNGES!!! I feel my butt big time! Hope it shows a little!

I failed my exam for the second time today, failed cooking a snack (still smells like dead I dunno), but I did succeed my challenge! And I need to focus on that. But I now still need a new after workout snack.

Tuesday killer workout! OMG!

Yesterday I accepted the 1000 push ups challenge started by Fitvillains. I love that! I don’t know if I can make to a 1000 push ups. So I need to look for workouts with a lot of push ups. Why not combine it all? It will serve my body well!

This morning I woke early to workout instead of after work. I really need to study for my big exam, so after work it could get difficult to squeeze a workout in.

My morning BodyRock workout:

Set your interval timer to 12 rounds of 50 seconds work with a 10 second rest – & Bust out as many repetitions of the following exercises as you can

1) Single Arm Clean & Lunge with Side Knee Kick – Left Side –  Using the pink Sandbag 7/7/8

2) Frog Jump & L & R Knee Spider Push Ups & Tuck Jump 5/6/5

3) Single Arm Clean & Lunge with Side Knee Kick – Right Side –  Using the pink Sandbag 5/8/7

4) Reverse Push-Ups & Cross Knee Tucks – (Using the BodyRock Equalizeror Dip Station ) 7/8/7

But… After my studying, I still have to time do ANOTHER workout! As a reward for my hard work today I decided to do another workout with again a lot of push ups! Why not? If it doesn’t kill me, it will make me stronger, right?

My evening BodyRock workout:

Set your interval timer to 12 rounds of 50 seconds work with a 10 second rest – & Bust out as many repetitions of the following exercises as you can

1) Single Leg Push-Up, Touch Under Toe – Alternate Legs 14/10/10

2) Burpees + Bonus Push-Up & Tuck Jump 9/8/10

3) Sandbag Swings – Using the pink Sandbag 15/16/16

4) Side Lunge Touch Downs 50/52/60

Ab bonus (yes, we’re going really hardcorde today):

Set your interval timer to 3 rounds of 50 seconds work with a 10 second rest

1) Oblique Plank – Straight Leg Touch Overs – Right Side 30

2) Straight Leg – Side Ab Touch 37

3) Oblique Plank – Straight Leg Touch Overs – Left Side. 35

OMG I killed it! Didn’t think I could do 2 workouts today and do them pretty good! Yes! :-D

PS: My total push ups for today: 135! Still 865 to go…
